This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +5 more states.
• Lead, coach, and mentor the subrogation team on a daily basis.
• Supervise the implementation of MEM’s subrogation program to optimize recovery opportunities and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Administer a personal caseload of intricate and catastrophic subrogation cases from investigation to resolution.
• Work alongside legal counsel and external partners to safeguard rights and formulate litigation strategies.
• Create and present onboarding and ongoing training programs for claims staff focused on subrogation.
• Engage in claims leadership discussions and contribute to departmental initiatives.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline is required.
• A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in subrogation is essential. Relevant experience in workers' compensation claims may be accepted in place of direct subrogation experience.
• Prior involvement in managing complex recovery issues, investigations, arbitration, and litigation-related tasks is required.
• Experience in leadership, supervision, or team development is preferred.
• Strong preference for experience in researching insurance laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• A valid driver’s license is mandatory.
• Claims Adjusting License is preferred.
• Associate in Claims (AIC) is preferred.
• Senior Claim Law Associate (SCLA) is preferred.
• Certified Subrogation Recovery Professional (CSRP) is preferred.
