Subject Matter Expert – IT, Artificial Intelligence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Revise an existing course or create a new one based on identified needs, incorporating program content, materials, and/or delivery methods, while considering foundational knowledge, emerging practices, and developments in the discipline.

• Ensure alignment of course development with course and program learning outcomes.

• Demonstrate the ability to identify pertinent learning resources and content.

• Design engaging learning activities, assignments, and effective assessments of learning.

• Confirm that the course curriculum adheres to Excelsior’s principles of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI).

• Dedicate availability throughout an established course development timeline and meet project deadlines.

• Engage in weekly or bi-weekly meetings focused on course development.

• Collaborate with the course development team throughout the design process.

• Utilize the Excelsior University course shell as the structural framework for the course.

• Compose lectures, assignments, rubrics, and provide original content in an editable format.

⛳️ Requirements

• A doctoral degree, or a master’s degree combined with extensive professional experience in the field, preferably in computer science or a related discipline, along with a background in Data Science to support the program and its courses.

• Proven extensive industry experience and/or background in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

• Preferred teaching experience at a two- or four-year degree-granting institution in computer science or a related field.

• Knowledge of curriculum development and implementation, as well as training in computer science.
