Subject Matter Expert – Health Systems Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the analysis, design, development, and execution of business processes within the VHA.

• Perform thorough evaluations of current operational states and outline future state concepts.

• Create new business processes and overhaul existing workflows.

• Oversee redesigned processes to guarantee ongoing enhancement and alignment with VHA policies, priorities, and strategic objectives.

• Conduct ongoing process evaluations in response to policy revisions, organizational shifts, and changing healthcare delivery needs.

• Offer expertise on VHA Medical Center operations, VISN frameworks, and the integration of clinical and business processes.

• Utilize specialized knowledge in Veterans healthcare program areas including Patient Centered Medical Home, Mental Health, Prosthetics, Telehealth, Women’s Health, Specialty Care, Veterans Homelessness, and Geriatrics and Extended Care.

• Work in collaboration with VHA leadership and stakeholders to ensure that process improvement initiatives fulfill operational and clinical demands.

• Provide guidance on the integration of business and clinical processes with associated healthcare education systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree in Health Systems Management, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Public Administration, or a related field.

• At least ten (10) years of experience within a large-scale government integrated healthcare system, with significant involvement in Veterans healthcare programs.

• Demonstrated expertise in analyzing, designing, developing, and implementing healthcare business processes.

• Comprehensive experience with VHA Medical Center operations and a solid understanding of VISN structures.

• Strong knowledge of both clinical and administrative processes within the VHA.

• Experience with associated healthcare education systems.

• Proven ability to identify operational issues and create effective process redesign strategies.

• Exceptional communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills.

• Experience leading enterprise-wide process improvement initiatives in Federal healthcare systems.

• Familiarity with Federal healthcare policy development and implementation.

• Certification in Lean Six Sigma, Change Management (e.g., PROSCI®), or related methodologies.
