Student Worker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Enhance the web browsing experience in Firefox, particularly concentrating on the networking stack and network-related APIs such as Fetch and WebTransport.

• Collaborate with the web and internet standards community to design and implement innovative web platform features and networking protocols.

• Identify and resolve correctness and performance issues within our multi-threaded codebase.

• Troubleshoot platform-specific networking challenges.

• Contribute to the stability and accuracy of Firefox.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in programming with Rust and/or C/C++, along with a solid understanding of memory safety, test-driven development, data analysis, and secure software development practices.

• Fluent in English and passionate about engaging in open software engineering activities.

• Prior experience in networking and/or systems programming is an advantage!

• Must be enrolled at a university in Germany and open to occasional visits to our Berlin office.
