This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Support CCU's mission by guiding and inspiring students to achieve their God-given calling and academic objectives through high-quality, Christ-centered advising.
• Respond to student inquiries via phone, email, and face-to-face advising sessions; document details in the student’s records.
• Make proactive outbound calls to students to evaluate early intervention needs, strengthen advisor/advisee relationships, and identify barriers to course completion or registration.
• Analyze, organize, and refresh reports, spreadsheets, and templates.
• Interpret and assess student data to proactively reach out to students and meet monthly retention targets.
• Collaborate strategically with other departments to facilitate and process time-sensitive student requests.
• Prepare for upcoming blocks/semesters; work with colleagues on special projects; participate in team meetings and training webinars/conference calls.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• High proficiency in technology; expertise in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Comfortable handling a high volume of inbound and outbound calls; demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, persuasively, and professionally with students.
• Confidence, patience, empathy, and availability to build rapport with students; capacity to quickly understand and adapt to the diverse needs and characteristics of multiple generations.
• Creative and innovative thinker who takes initiative to identify solutions while clarifying and enforcing CCU’s expectations and policies.
• Adaptability, a willingness to learn, and openness to change; ability to proactively seek appropriate resources for unfamiliar situations; confidence in asking questions and recognizing as well as learning from mistakes.
• Ability to maintain cohesive working relationships, view conflict positively, and communicate with honesty and respect.
• Enthusiasm for a fast-paced call center environment, with the ability to maintain focus amid unexpected distractions and manage interruptions professionally.
• Previous experience in advising, student services, higher education, public relations, customer service, or related fields is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, both spoken and written, is preferred.
