This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Expand student enrollment in CIEE's impactful study abroad programs tailored for high school students and recent graduates through strategic sales outreach and a results-oriented approach.
• You will take charge of the entire applicant experience, guiding students from their initial interest to confirmed participation, while proactively building trust with students and their families at every stage.
• Articulate the value and concrete outcomes of study abroad experiences to U.S. high school students and their legal guardians.
• Adhere to a systematic sales outreach framework to engage prospective leads and applicants through phone, text, and email communications.
• Capable of managing a high volume of calls daily, ranging from 20 to 60, depending on the season.
• Inspire and guide applicants and their families throughout the scholarship and application procedures.
• Collaborate with families to address challenges related to studying abroad during high school.
• Deliver professional and prompt customer service to students and parents throughout the application journey, including program acceptance, confirmation, and pre-departure preparation.
• Conduct virtual webinars for students and parents, addressing large groups at a time, which may require evening hours.
• Present to students and parents in person at high schools and fairs within your designated region, necessitating some domestic travel.
• Assess applications, accept candidates, and transition them into paid participants.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial accounts for participants and follow up on any discrepancies or outstanding payments.
• Utilize Salesforce (CRM system) reports to manage your applicant pipeline and achieve sales targets.
• Keep precise records of customer communications in Salesforce (CRM system).
• Provide ongoing support for participants across all programs throughout the year.
• Engage in sales training throughout the year and continuously enhance your skills as a sales professional.
• Availability to work during some evening hours to connect with students and guardians when they are free.
• Accountable for offering emergency support during 1-2 travel weekends annually.
• Potential to earn international travel opportunities up to once a year to accompany student group flights.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A Bachelor's degree or its international equivalent.
• At least two years of experience in customer service or sales.
• Ability to handle challenging conversations effectively.
• Previous international travel or study abroad experience is advantageous.
• Experience working with diverse high school students is a plus.
• Proficiency in additional languages beyond English is a bonus.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt your messaging for different audiences.
• Strong organizational abilities and keen attention to detail.
