Student – Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Assist the Automation team in the development, upkeep, and execution of automated testing scripts.

• Verify application functionality.

• Detect defects and enhance test coverage.

• Participate in activities that promote reliable, efficient, and high-quality software releases.

• Acquire practical experience in test automation and software quality initiatives.

• Collaborate with seasoned professionals and contribute to tangible projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a post-secondary program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Development, Information Systems, Quality Assurance, or a comparable technical discipline.

• Basic understanding of Git/GitLab.

• Fundamental SQL knowledge.

• Experience in API testing using Postman.

• Interest in programming and eagerness to learn test automation tools such as WebdriverIO.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.

• A growth mindset and readiness to explore tools like GitHub Copilot.

• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

• A curious, motivated, and enthusiastic attitude towards learning.

• Comfortable with technical concepts and willing to understand automation, testing, and software delivery methodologies.

• Must be available for the full Fall placement from September 15 to December 15.
