Stress Engineer – DTA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Conduct stress analysis on aircraft metallic structures, encompassing evaluations of static strength, durability, and damage tolerance.

• Create, assess, and validate structural repair strategies to guarantee airworthiness and adherence to engineering standards.

• Draft and revise technical documents, such as Aircraft Structural Repair Manuals (SRM) and Aircraft Maintenance Publications.

• Produce and evaluate stress analysis reports associated with repair designs and permissible damage limits for aircraft structures.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional engineering teams to bolster fleet maintenance and uphold structural integrity initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.

• At least 5 years of experience in Repair Engineering with a focus on aircraft structural repairs.

• 3-5 years of experience in Stress Engineering within the aerospace or aviation sector.

• A minimum of 2 years of practical experience in conducting Damage Tolerance Analysis (DTA).

• Comprehensive knowledge of metallic aircraft structures, including methodologies for repair design and structural assessment.

• Proficiency in interpreting, updating, and managing aircraft structural repair and maintenance documentation.

• Excellent English communication skills.
