Strategic Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Create and develop initial designs and specifications for engineering and materials, while preparing cost estimates for projects.

• Perform research, feasibility assessments, and economic analyses to confirm the viability and cost-effectiveness of designs.

• Evaluate and verify engineering projects for precision and integrity; oversee project execution.

• Align project schedules with plant personnel, vendors, and contractors.

• Guide equipment vendors in planning layouts and ensuring adherence to installation timelines.

• Execute engineering planning and operational assessments during the pre-project phase.

• Assess bid packages for compliance, prepare project documentation, and supervise installations to ensure budget compliance.

• Foster a positive employee experience through effective leadership and coaching.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution in Engineering or a related field, along with 5+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a leadership role, including team development and management, is required.

• Capability to apply sound engineering principles to operational and design challenges.

• Understanding of installation and construction project scheduling.

• Must possess skills in Project Management, Contract Administration, and interpretation of National codes and standards.

• Strong proficiency in engineering economics.

• Expertise in AutoCAD.

• Competent in Microsoft Excel, Word processing software, and other Microsoft Office applications.

• Enthusiastic about collaboration, including travel to other locations up to 50% of the time.
