This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop, oversee, and execute an annual strategic plan, marketing plan, and budget, ensuring all initiatives align with the company's objectives.
• Accountable for predicting line revenue and profitability by analyzing internal capabilities, market demand, and competitive data.
• Oversee and guide the commercialization of products, including sales strategies that emphasize solution differentiation, pricing assessments, advertising techniques, marketing strategies, competitive analysis, and cost/benefit evaluations for solution participants.
• Collaborate with Marketing Services to design and produce advertising and promotional content for products and solutions aimed at member credit unions and consumers.
• Work alongside member credit unions and advisory group credit unions to conduct market evaluations, research, surveys, focus groups, and pilot tests.
• Serve as a specialist on market trends affecting solution offerings to optimize market opportunities and mitigate competitive impacts.
• Generate and disseminate thought leadership on trends and usage regarding assigned product lines.
• Ensure the effective communication of essential information to internal teams and external member-owners about new initiatives and existing enhancements of solutions.
• Lead and engage in meetings to assist executive committees during development phases, tracking and communicating progress; participate in various advisory groups or committees involving Velera, vendors, partners, and financial institution executives.
• Stay informed about the latest industry trends and incorporate them into the product line when suitable; advise credit unions on best practices related to products.
• Communicate and regularly update senior leadership on solution performance metrics.
• Represent and assist Velera staff at sales meetings, vendor and partner gatherings, trade shows, site visits to financial institutions, and association events.
• Oversee the creation of product documentation, procedures, training, and marketing materials.
• Conduct technical evaluations, establish technical product direction, and guide development initiatives.
• Perform other assigned responsibilities.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in product management, agile project management, product marketing, technical product implementations, and/or business systems analysis for technical products is required, including at least two (2) years in product management.
• Proven experience in product budgeting and forecasting is necessary.
• Familiarity with the financial sector, credit union industry, and core or account processing is mandatory.
