Strategic Customer Solutions Architect – EMEA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Establish and nurture strong, trust-based relationships with senior technical and executive stakeholders across a targeted portfolio of strategic accounts.

• Collaborate with customers operating at a large scale to guarantee their systems perform consistently under production loads.

• Act as the resident Postgres expert for your assigned accounts.

• Assist customers in navigating Supabase's enterprise security features.

• Support strategic customers in migrating to Postgres and Supabase from various source systems.

• Convert highly technical outcomes into organizational impacts that resonate with engineering leaders, CTOs, and executive buyers.

• Provide guidance on vector storage architecture utilizing pgvector, embedding pipeline design, and optimizing similarity searches.

• Represent your customers' interests within Supabase and influence the platform's development roadmap.

• Collaborate with the Growth team on strategic agreements where deep technical credibility is essential.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of pertinent experience in Solutions Architecture, Database Engineering, or a related field, with a significant focus on large-scale or enterprise-level systems.

• In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL, including its internals, performance optimization, replication, extensions, and schema design.

• Proven experience in leading complex database migrations from various source systems, such as legacy relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) as well as cloud-native and NoSQL platforms (Firebase, Fauna, PlanetScale, or similar).

• Understanding of AI application architecture, encompassing vector databases, embedding pipelines, and similarity search.

• Experience in supporting or designing systems for significant scale, focusing on high-throughput and high-availability workloads.

• Familiarity with enterprise security and compliance requirements, including Row Level Security, SOC 2, HIPAA, audit logging, and encryption standards.

• Strong background in web application development, with knowledge of Python, C#, and popular JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Svelte) and Node.js.

• Proven ability to manage relationships with senior executives and navigate complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise environments.

• Excellent communication skills — able to simplify intricate Postgres internals for a CTO and translate business constraints into a coherent technical framework.
