This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.
• Overseeing technical support for Strategic Projects or a portfolio of projects tailored to regional or Strategic Account requirements.
• Perform on-site roof inspections during the installation process to assess quality, ensure compliance with roofing standards and specifications, and resolve any issues that arise.
• Maintain ongoing communication about project progress and assist the Strategic Account Project Manager and team in resolving issues.
• Collaborate with Owner Representatives, General Contractors, Architects, and Consultants to tackle and rectify project-related challenges.
• Provide technical support to FiberTite Strategic accounts and the technical team as necessary.
• Work in close coordination with local FiberTite Technical Representatives to fulfill project requirements.
• Train Seaman Corporation’s Authorized Applicators and FTR associates on the proper use and installation of FiberTite products and roofing systems.
• Conduct final evaluations of FiberTite Roof System installations to ensure they meet technical and warranty standards as per FiberTite guidelines.
• Assist Strategic Account Business Development Managers and sales teams by providing technical support for their sales initiatives.
• Investigate warranty claims, including executing necessary repairs as instructed by FiberTite Warranty Services.
• Comply with company expense and vehicle regulations.
• Adhere to all environmental, safety, and company policies to ensure compliance.
• Maintain regular communication with the FiberTite Technical Services team to guarantee project coordination and knowledge exchange.
• High school diploma or a general education degree (GED).
• 5-10 years of experience in a technical or product management role within the single-ply roofing industry, preferably with thermoplastic membranes (KEE, PVC, TPO, Modified Bitumen) is preferred but not mandatory.
• Registered Roof Observer (RRO) certification is preferred but not essential.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Word Perfect, Excel, email, and Internet usage.
• Capability to read and interpret basic construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications, along with performing basic estimating.
• Basic understanding of roofing materials and roofing systems.
• Basic knowledge of roof leak detection techniques and the ability to determine necessary corrective actions related to single-ply roofing systems.
• Strong listening skills and the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, including the ability to write reports.
• Familiarity with building codes, such as FM, UL, and Miami-Dade.
