This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Create and implement strategic account plans aimed at driving revenue growth within hyperscale, colocation, and channel segments.
• Cultivate and strengthen relationships with executive and technical decision-makers within customer organizations.
• Discover new opportunities within existing accounts and coordinate internal resources to enhance cross-sell and upsell capabilities.
• Collaborate with other GCG business units to jointly develop account strategies that extend our presence across customer organizations with data center involvement.
• Serve as a strategic liaison across product lines, facilitating the translation of customer needs into multi-solution proposals that encompass the GCG portfolio.
• Utilize subject matter expertise in power distribution, cabling, cooling, and connectivity to guide value-driven sales discussions.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to create customer-specific, scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Showcase technical solutions that clearly illustrate ROI and align with customers’ evolving infrastructure requirements.
• Stay informed on data center trends, emerging technologies, and competitive advancements.
• Represent GCG at significant industry events, trade shows, and customer briefings.
• Maintain precise pipeline forecasts and customer records using Salesforce and related tools.
• Work collaboratively across functions to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
• Provide regular updates on account health, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in B2B sales, with no less than 3 years dedicated to selling data center infrastructure products (electrical and low voltage) to colocation operators, hyperscale data centers, or channel partners.
• Demonstrated success in meeting or surpassing sales quotas in a competitive, technical sales setting.
• Strong technical understanding of data center infrastructure, encompassing power systems, cooling, structured cabling, and connectivity solutions.
• Experience collaborating with electrical and low voltage channel partners within the data center ecosystem.
• A well-established network of relationships in the data center industry, including colocation providers, hyperscale operators, and channel partners.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities, capable of engaging both technical and business audiences.
• Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales forecasting techniques.
• Willingness to travel as necessary to meet with clients and partners (up to 50%).
