This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Responsible for the creation, upkeep, and execution of bids, renewals, and proposals for Health System, IDN, and GPO (Strategic Accounts).
• Serves as the main connection between Merit’s Strategic Accounts Department and both internal and external stakeholders.
• Aids in proposal preparation, contract management, customer interaction, contract fulfillment, and adherence to company policies, legal standards, and customer requirements under the guidance of the Strategic Accounts Supervisor.
• Assists in preparing financial impact assessments for bids, proposals, and renewals, which are reviewed by executive officers and the Strategic Account Director under the supervision of the Strategic Accounts Supervisor.
• Helps educate, interpret, and convey key information regarding contract terms and conditions.
• Assists in monitoring all contracts for consistency and pricing uniformity.
• Manages ongoing contract analysis, including a) verifying and addressing contract compliance issues, including corrective measures to help ensure that Strategic Accounts and corporate objectives are met; b) verifying and overseeing customer qualifications under various contract criteria; c) verifying, managing, and coordinating group pricing.
• Oversees the group membership designations for individual facilities.
• Designs and develops queries using both internal and external database systems for generating analyses and reports related to contract progress, group membership, pricing, eligibility, administrative reports, and administrative fees.
• Conducts analysis to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer relationships.
• Composes correspondence that requires an understanding of technical matters.
• Records commitments made by the manager during meetings and facilitates their implementation.
• May, in the absence of the manager, ensure that requests for information or action are communicated to the relevant individuals and, as needed, interprets such requests and assists in implementing necessary actions.
• Performs additional related duties and tasks as required.
• Education equivalent to a High School Diploma with seven years of prior experience, an Associate’s Degree with five years of experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree with three years of experience.
• Professional and/or educational experience with contracts. Must have the ability to interpret and apply contract terms.
• Capability to extract and configure data from various sources.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle Discoverer, JD Edwards, or other SAP applications.
• Understanding of pricing, discounts, and rebates.
• Proven computer skills, preferably in spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and other relevant software programs.
• Excellent analytical abilities, with the capacity to comprehend the financial implications of decisions.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent time/project management skills.
• Results-driven, able to work effectively in a matrix environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively—both verbally and in writing—with others.
