This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
• Accountable for providing sales and service support to all customers within the designated territory.
• Engages in significant travel to visit assigned customers.
• Allocates the majority of time to one-on-one interactions with customers.
• Responsible for selling systems and components to both existing and new customers in the assigned region.
• Conducts services, installations, and maintenance for all systems set up at assigned customer locations.
• Travels daily to customer sites, spending most of the time visiting clients.
• Recognizes opportunities and collaborates with the Account Coordinator and Application Specialist to sell systems and parts to assigned customers.
• Identifies new applications, system upgrades, and customer needs while recommending optimal solutions to enhance customer operations.
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of Nordson products, pricing, policies, and procedures, and understands how to best utilize Nordson products across all applications.
• Supplies product and part number information to customers as requested, assisting with direct ordering. Generates formal quotes when necessary based on customer requirements.
• Collaborates with Adhesives Technical Services, Applications Engineering, and Application Specialists to create written quotes when needed, providing production line audits and application specifics (speeds, materials, dispense rates, etc.) to facilitate the development of written quotes.
• Achieves the established sales budget as assigned.
• Informs the Regional Sales and Service Manager and Application Specialists about emerging markets, shifts in existing markets, competitor activities (pricing and product modifications), and the necessity for new or redesigned Nordson hardware.
• Responsible for maintaining up-to-date activity reports, contacts, and line surveys in the CRM system.
• Upholds personal appearance, testing equipment, and vehicles in a manner that positively reflects on the corporate image.
• An Associate's Degree in a technical or business field, military technical training, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (in lieu of education) is required.
• A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Experience in a field territory role with responsibilities in sales or technical support is advantageous.
• Demonstrated success in technical selling skills.
• Possesses mechanical and electrical knowledge and capabilities.
• Knowledge and skills related to hydraulic systems.
• Proficient electronic knowledge and skills, including familiarity with typical instrumentation, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to interpret installation, dimension, and troubleshooting drawings, as well as hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
