This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Take ownership of the entire sales process, from lead identification and initial outreach to proof-of-concept, pilot execution, deal closure, deployment, and ongoing project management.
• Generate new business opportunities through proactive outreach and by cultivating relationships with key decision-makers in the energy, oil and gas, and utility sectors.
• Utilize relationships with decision-makers and influencers to expedite engagements, foster strategic partnerships, and secure sales opportunities.
• Serve as a consultative and trusted advisor to customers and prospects, gaining insights into their challenges, objectives, and technology ecosystems.
• Create customized solutions and value propositions that deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Collaborate with channel partners to enhance outreach efforts and improve customer satisfaction in the region.
• Work in conjunction with product, engineering, customer success, marketing, solution architecture, and Sales Development Representatives.
• Provide field insights to assist product and engineering teams in prioritizing the Cohere roadmap.
• Manage deployment projects to ensure customer success, trust, expansion, and growth.
• A minimum of 8 years of B2B sales experience with Global 2000 companies and large enterprises in the energy, oil and gas, and utility industries.
• Proven experience in negotiating and closing transformational multi-year (2–5 year) SaaS deals valued in the 7-figure range.
• A strong history of high performance and consistently exceeding sales quotas.
• Technical consultative sales experience with complex products such as developer tools, API products, or AI/NLP solutions is advantageous.
• Experience in supporting customers during the deployment phase, including the configuration and customization of solutions for successful production.
• Familiarity with channel partners such as cloud hyperscalers and system integrators.
• High tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to operate as a self-starter, implementer, and strategist.
• A genuine curiosity and readiness to become knowledgeable about NLP and Cohere technology.
• Excellent communication, listening, relationship-building, and C-suite engagement skills.
• Capability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• In-depth understanding of the energy, oil and gas, and utility industries, including current trends, challenges, and opportunities.
• Ability to clearly articulate the value of AI and NLP solutions for energy and utility operations.
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements specific to the energy, oil and gas, and utility sectors.
• A weekly lunch stipend of $75/£75 or equivalent in your local currency.
