This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Responsible for sales, business development, and management of customer accounts within the biomaterials and advanced technology sectors.
• Identify opportunities for substantial growth.
• Collaborate with Avantor's engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to evaluate and fulfill customer needs.
• Cultivate strong relationships.
• Develop a deep understanding of the requirements of medical device manufacturers and advanced technology firms.
• Conduct market and customer analysis.
• Showcase the NuSil product portfolio with a solution-oriented approach.
• Create account plans and engage necessary support for implementation.
• Build robust internal and external networks.
• Comprehend customer processes and effectively convey technology product specifications.
• Set forecasts and manage the delivery of the annual budget.
• Execute pipeline sales opportunities and oversee the process.
• Assist customers in solving material-related issues.
• Negotiate contracts.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Science or a related field is essential.
• Extensive experience in nurturing large accounts and managing vendors and distributors.
• Technical proficiency in selling complex silicone raw materials.
• Strong background in a matrix organization.
• Ability to collaborate with senior leadership across various functions.
• Good grasp of business development practices.
• Exceptional writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in an additional European language (preferably French) would be advantageous.
• Experience in life sciences, technology, or a science-related industry.
• Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator would be beneficial.
• Experience in value-based sales methodology would be a plus.
