Stock Plan Administration Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage communications for a designated portfolio of clients.

• Oversee the administration of client equity plans, which includes setting up and maintaining plan parameters, processing equity transactions, and reconciling transaction reports.

• Deliver precise financial reporting and plan balance information, encompassing period-end reports and financial setup tasks as specified in the client service scope.

• Act as the primary contact with client brokers and transfer agents.

• Provide technical support and guidance for stock plans, handling daily administration, disclosures, and financial reporting for client equity plans, cap tables, and ESPPs.

• Serve as a subject matter expert, addressing client inquiries about the stock plan platform, best practices for administration, and equity management procedures.

• Support client discussions regarding award modifications, changes in performance metrics, and structures for modifications.

• Address client questions related to system tax calculations, plan balances, and the methodologies behind reporting, including SEC disclosures, proxy tables, and deferred tax reporting.

• Conduct training for clients on system usage, which includes data entry, reporting, and financial analysis.

• Advise clients on the implications of M&A activities and the accounting treatment for equity plans.

• Assist auditors with requests concerning methodologies and calculations related to financial, tax, audit, and disclosure reports.

• Attend sessions and webinars by the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals (NASPP) and the Global Equity Organization to stay updated on expertise and industry knowledge.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in equity compensation, stock plan administration, or client services within the financial sector.

• Strong understanding of equity compensation plans, including stock options, RSUs, and ESPPs.

• Demonstrated leadership experience in stock plan administration or financial operations, ideally within outsourced services.
