Stock Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Conducting stock reconciliation across all locations between the warehouse management system and ERP (SAP ByDesign) to enhance availability.

• Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies while implementing process improvements to prevent recurrence of issues.

• Overseeing all stock deliveries into the ERP system.

• Monitoring stock valuation and probing into discrepancies.

• Managing stock counts and preparing year-end documentation for auditors.

• Developing and refining stock management processes.

• Taking ownership of specific general ledger accounts related to stock.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience working within a commercial finance team.

• Background in a stock-focused business, preferably involving imported goods.

• Proficient in Excel, with a preference for automation use and adoption.

• Familiarity with using an ERP and/or stock management system.

• Analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable collaborating with operational stakeholders.
