Statistical Reporting Supervisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversees the timely and precise submission of data requests and statistical information to state insurance departments, independent bureaus, statistical service agencies, and other statutory and regulatory bodies.

• Evaluates and interprets regulatory reporting requirements and any changes, assessing their impact.

• Offers technical guidance, research, training, and awareness regarding regulatory reporting obligations to both the Company's internal team and external Program Partners and Third-Party Administrators.

• Identifies regulatory reporting needs for new product launches and collaborates with the team to ensure necessary data elements are collected.

• Acts as a liaison for reporting inquiries and issues from external regulatory entities as well as from the Company's internal team, analyzing concerns and formulating corrective actions as needed.

• Compiles data from various sources to generate required reports, while also analyzing and reconciling the information; investigates and resolves any identified discrepancies.

• Champions change by focusing on improving manual processes and integrating technology.

• Ensures comprehensive procedures for data submissions, statistical reports, and all related processes are executed and kept current.

• Develops, trains, evaluates, and mentors staff members.

• Oversees the distribution of staff assignments and facilitates cross-training opportunities for the team.

• Identifies areas for enhancement and efficiency gains.

• Manages User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for the Statistical Reporting team.

• Leads special projects as required.

• Performs various job-related duties as assigned.

• Maintains organized and up-to-date files for all work products, materials, and resources related to the position.

• Occasional travel may be necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in statistical and regulatory data reporting within the Property & Casualty Insurance sector.

• Experience with statistical agency and bureau reporting.

• Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Effective time management skills, with the ability to track, prioritize, and meet multiple deadlines.

• Experience with User Acceptance Testing.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain analytical conclusions and prepare procedures.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) and comfortable with remote access to counterparty systems.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor, train, and develop others.

• Must be a self-starter who adapts quickly and can execute projects with minimal supervision.

• A bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent education and/or work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• At least 5 years of experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory insurance reporting, with familiarity with specific state regulations like those of California, Florida, and Texas being advantageous.

• Knowledge of Statutory Financial Statements (Annual statements, Statutory page 14’s, and Insurance Expense Exhibits) is preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).

• Advanced Excel skills, including the use of formulas and XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP functions.
