This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Responsible for developing, validating, and maintaining intricate statistical programs (primarily using SAS, and R or Python as needed) for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting in clinical trials and real-world evidence studies.

• May take on a leadership role within a Statistical Programming team to create, validate, and produce statistical programs that generate outputs such as listings, tables, figures, and SDTM/ADaM domains (including mapping specifications) of at least low to moderate complexity.

• All programs must be crafted in alignment with established procedures and project-specific timelines to ensure the generation of accurate, complete, and consistent outputs.

• Collaborating with biostatisticians and cross-functional teams to interpret study requirements and guarantee the precise implementation of statistical analyses.

• Preparing and reviewing statistical analysis plans (SAPs), programming specifications, and derived datasets, including SDTM and ADaM, to comply with regulatory standards.

• Ensuring data integrity and adherence to industry regulations, including ICH/GCP guidelines, throughout the programming workflow.

• Mentoring junior programmers and aiding in the training of team members on programming techniques and best practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is advantageous.

• Demonstrated experience as a statistical programmer within the clinical research sector, with a robust understanding of statistical methodologies and programming, especially in SAS.

• Typically, a minimum of 3 years of experience is required.

• Strong familiarity with SDTM/ADaM datasets and standards.

• Experience in supporting real-world evidence (RWE) studies is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as SAS, R, or Python, with experience in clinical data management systems.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a sharp attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex statistical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with team members.
