This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain software solutions within a legacy MUMPS / Caché environment.

• Execute coding, unit testing, and debugging to facilitate continuous system improvements and maintenance.

• Collaborate with business analysts to convert requirements into technical solutions and assist with requirements analysis.

• Assist in system, integration, and user acceptance testing.

• Engage in Beta (IOC) testing activities with active medical centers, including the resolution of issues.

• Offer ongoing production support and troubleshooting for deployed applications.

• Document technical designs, processes, and system functionalities.

• Work autonomously and collaboratively within a cross-functional team to achieve project deadlines.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in developing and supporting applications using MUMPS / InterSystems Caché.

• Background in supporting legacy healthcare systems.

• Expertise in software design, coding, and unit testing.

• Experience collaborating directly with customers or end users.

• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines.

• Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.

• Familiarity with Microsoft products (e.g., Windows, Office, Excel).

• A minimum of 10 years of direct software development experience.

• Experience with Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) systems, including VistA and FileMan.

• Knowledge of healthcare messaging standards such as:

• - HL7

• - FHIR

• Familiarity with EDI transaction sets, specifically ANSI X12 835 (Electronic Remittance Advice and Electronic Funds Transfer).

• Background in supporting or integrating with financial systems.

• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.

• Experience in healthcare or government systems.

• Exposure to system integration projects in regulated environments.

• Experience supporting long-lived, critical applications.

• A BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
