This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee the creation, implementation, and maintenance of SPC methodologies and digital technologies throughout the manufacturing network.
• Design, pilot, and expand SPC systems to minimize process variation, eliminate waste, and enhance compliance with food safety, regulatory, and customer standards.
• Enhance plant-level capabilities by coaching and developing process experts and engineers within line structure teams.
• Formulate and execute SPC strategy in collaboration with various teams.
• Pilot and implement SPC technology solutions and methodologies across several plants.
• Establish and standardize SPC procedures, control plans, and governance across different product categories.
• Collaborate with site-based process experts and engineers to integrate SPC principles into daily management systems.
• Provide training, workshops, and tools to enhance SPC expertise.
• Mentor and guide technical teams to cultivate a pipeline of SPC leaders.
• Analyze process data alongside Industrial Engineering teams to identify variation, waste, and yield loss.
• Ensure SPC practices comply with regulatory and quality requirements.
• Maintain documentation, audit readiness, and reporting systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Statistics, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or process engineering roles, including at least 3 years dedicated to SPC systems.
• Proven experience in implementing SPC in a large, multi-site, regulated environment.
• Background in coaching technical teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
• Familiarity with SPC methodologies such as control charts, process capability analysis, measurement system analysis, and design of experiments.
• Proficient in SPC software and data analytics tools including Minitab, JMP, InfinityQS, Power BI, and SQL.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Total Productive Maintenance, or other continuous improvement systems.
• Experience in change management and influencing within complex organizational structures.
• Demonstrated ability to translate technical concepts into practical applications for varied audiences.
• Experience in building organizational capability and fostering cultural adoption of process control practices.
• Willingness to travel, typically up to 75% of the time.
