This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Analyze real-world datasets to aid epidemiologic, scientific, and regulatory initiatives.
• Develop, validate, and maintain SAS programs for analysis datasets and study outputs.
• Convert raw real-world data sources, including EMR, EHR, claims, and registries, into precise, traceable, analysis-ready datasets.
• Conduct quality control and peer reviews to ensure programming deliverables are accurate and consistent with study plans and SOPs.
• Document programming decisions and dataset derivations to facilitate reproducibility and audit preparedness.
• Review and validate SAS code and outputs produced by other programmers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as epidemiology, biostatistics, medical writing, regulatory affairs, and client stakeholders.
• Adhere to internal SOPs, FDA RWE guidance, and other relevant regulatory standards.
• BS or MS in statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, computer science, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Over 5 years of SAS programming experience in the life sciences, preferably supporting observational research, epidemiologic studies, or regulatory projects utilizing real-world data.
• In-depth knowledge of real-world data structures, particularly EMR- and EHR-based datasets, alongside claims and registry data.
• Proficient in supporting retrospective cohort, natural history, burden of illness, comparative effectiveness, and various epidemiologic study designs.
• Strong SAS programming capabilities, with R experience advantageous for data analysis, programming, and statistical workflows.
• Excellent documentation skills, including code annotation, traceability, and reproducibility.
• Familiarity with Veeva Vault or similar document management systems is a bonus.
