Staff Vehicle Architecture Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Design cutting-edge geometrical packaging solutions for various vehicle systems that enhance product characteristics, streamline manufacturing processes, and support essential styling themes.

• Generate sketches, 3D CAD models, and tangible prototypes for vehicle integration concepts that enhance product cost, weight, efficiency, manufacturability, serviceability, and user experience.

• Lead cross-functional product architecture discussions among vehicle systems utilizing engineering principles and attribute sensitivities.

• Detect and address geometrical incompatibilities between systems using conceptual 3D CAD.

• Work in partnership with engineers, designers, technicians, and suppliers to acquire and construct physical properties.

• Domestic travel is required up to 20% of the time.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent foreign degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline, along with 4 years of experience in the position offered or a related field.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in each of the following areas is required: 1. 3D and 2D CAD design of automotive components and assemblies utilizing Dassault 3DExperience or Catia V5. 2. Releasing automotive components and assemblies in Dassault 3DExperience or Enovia V5. 3. Addressing cross-functional vehicle integration challenges for automotive products. 4. Documenting product architecture analyses, attribute sensitivities, and architectural decisions using Atlassian tools, including Confluence and Jira.

• At least 3 years of experience in each of the following areas is required: 1. Developing and delivering prototype components for new automotive products. 2. Monitoring, documenting, and resolving issues utilizing Confluence or Jira.
