This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee the design and execution of cutting-edge data platforms and architectures utilizing Databricks (including ETL processes, workload migrations, and Unity Catalog).
• Collaborate with client executives and technical teams to ensure that data strategies are in alignment with business objectives.
• Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Provide practical technical leadership during solution delivery, including mentoring engineers and promoting best practices.
• Establish and enforce governance models that cover data access, lineage, and security frameworks.
• Assess and prioritize high-impact AI and ML use cases, integrating Generative AI into client strategies.
• Serve as a thought leader by participating in client workshops, executive roundtables, and industry discussions.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or architecture roles.
• At least 3 years of practical experience with Databricks, including its advanced features (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, MLflow).
• Proven track record in leading large-scale data migrations (ETL, workloads, cloud platforms).
• Strong proficiency in at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience across multiple cloud environments is a plus.
• Excellent knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance within enterprise settings.
• Capability to engage with both executives and technical teams with equal assurance.
• Prior consulting experience is highly desirable.
• Certifications in Databricks or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) are advantageous.
