Staff Technical Program Manager

📋 Description

• Drive ongoing enhancements in program management processes and practices, promoting innovation, operational excellence, and reliable execution.

• Lead and oversee multiple intricate technical programs from initiation to delivery, ensuring well-defined scope, milestones, dependencies, and outcomes.

• Collaborate with engineering, product management, marketing, legal, compliance, security, risk, and operations to establish program objectives, deliverables, and execution strategies.

• Create comprehensive program plans, schedules, and roadmaps that align with technical tasks, business goals, and priorities.

• Manage and enhance information-flow pipelines to minimize friction, present relevant stakeholder details, and decrease manual effort through automation.

• Identify and address program risks and dependencies, facilitating prompt resolution of issues and obstacles.

• Communicate program status, progress, decisions, and challenges to stakeholders at all levels through concise updates and reporting.

• Cultivate cross-team relationships and mentor junior program managers by sharing expertise, tools, and program management practices.

• Investigate AI tools and practical applications to enhance operational efficiency within the function.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in technical program management, emphasizing large-scale, complex programs.

• Proven history of delivering technical programs on schedule and within budget.

• Strong technical background with an in-depth understanding of software development processes and methodologies.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

• Familiarity with Agile and/or Scrum methodologies.

• Experience or knowledge in the financial services sector.

• Proficiency in using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar technologies.

• Experience in mentoring or supporting other program managers and leading cross-functional initiatives.

• Willingness to experiment with AI tools and a commitment to continuous learning.
