Staff Software Engineer – US SaaS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +15 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and execution of large-scale software projects.

• Lead architectural and technical decisions across various teams.

• Develop scalable, dependable, and maintainable backend systems.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Leadership stakeholders.

• Guide engineers through technical mentorship, design evaluations, and best practices.

• Enhance system performance, reliability, and operational excellence.

• Assist in establishing engineering standards and contributing to the technical strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of experience with Java in product applications.

• At least 5 years of experience in designing and managing highly scalable distributed systems.

• Proficiency in Kotlin is a significant advantage.

• Experience in the design and delivery of complex systems from start to finish.

• Familiarity with highly scalable systems, asynchronous architecture, and client-server development.

• Knowledge of Kafka/RabbitMQ for event-driven architectures.

• Experience with AWS, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL.

• Background in monolithic architecture; building a new product on a monolith rather than merely breaking one down or performing migration work.

• Demonstrated ability to influence technical decisions, collaborate across functions, and mentor fellow engineers.

• Experience in developing customer-facing products in multi-tenant environments.
