Staff Software Engineer – Social Gaming

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Slovakia.

📋 Description

• Design and develop application architecture that is scalable, maintainable, observable, and high-performing.

• Write clean, efficient, and thoroughly documented code.

• Conduct code reviews, assess architecture, and contribute to engineering best practices.

• Identify and optimize performance bottlenecks across various systems.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful features.

• Ensure application security by implementing safeguards against vulnerabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in delivering large-scale systems in a production environment.

• Strong understanding of Domain-Driven Design, API-first architecture, and software design patterns.

• Proficiency in JavaScript (React/Next) or another backend language, preferably Node.js or PHP.

• Experience with Pub/Sub, websockets, and Server-Sent Events (SSE).

• Ideally, experience with MySQL and creating white-label products.

• A strong product engineering mindset — capable of translating requirements into technical designs and delivering features end-to-end.
