Staff Software Engineer, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design the incrementality product into a dependable, scalable experimentation platform.

• Establish the roadmap for near-real-time data ingestion and processing.

• Create frameworks for AI-driven workflows that assist marketers in assessing performance and acting on insights.

• Oversee connection-state systems and the partner ecosystem related to data ingestion and exports.

• Develop technical strategies in related product domains such as role-based access control (RBAC).

• Guide products from initial traction to significant scale while setting the technical direction.

• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and designers.

• Perform design reviews, mentor engineers, and elevate delivery standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in designing and building distributed backend systems, microservices, APIs, and/or data processing systems using Python.

• Extensive experience in system architecture, including managing scale-related tradeoffs.

• Proven track record of collaboration with product managers, designers, and data scientists to develop products.

• Experience in startup environments or settings that require versatility, sound judgment, and problem-solving amidst uncertainty.

• Capability to translate vague product requirements into robust technical architecture and production-ready solutions.

• Proficiency in navigating complex datasets and interconnected tables.

• Experience with frontend technologies, specifically React and TypeScript.

• Strong coding fundamentals; leveraging AI as an enhancer rather than a replacement for core skills.

• Generalist approach with a readiness to engage across backend, frontend, pipelines, and infrastructure.

• Experience in mentoring engineers and enhancing team operations.
