Staff Software Engineer – Life Sciences

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with scientific teams to review workflows, identify technical obstacles, and take full responsibility for the comprehensive technical execution of client contracts.

• Develop and implement high-speed code to enhance existing tools or create new frameworks that encapsulate scientific logic and automate intricate R&D workflows.

• Act as the technical liaison between non-technical researchers and product teams, assessing proposed solutions and ensuring they adhere to stringent scientific standards.

• Manage the deployment and upkeep of cloud-based computing resources and data pipelines, guaranteeing stability and performance throughout the contract duration.

• Spearhead the integration of internal core technologies, such as LQMs and Agentic systems, into customized client environments to address significant scientific challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional software development experience, with extensive proficiency in Python and contemporary architectural patterns.

• Demonstrated ability to function autonomously in high-ambiguity settings, transitioning from concept to functional code rapidly.

• Practical experience with cloud orchestration (Kubernetes, Batch systems) and workflow management tools like Airflow.

• Technical knowledge in developing REST APIs, managing database systems (ORMs, schemas), and utilizing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
