Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure, Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the data infrastructure and cloud systems that support AeroVect's autonomous driving platform.

• Design and scale pipelines that transfer operational data from real-world implementations into development, testing, and ongoing improvement systems.

• Create, construct, and sustain scalable data pipelines from on-premises systems to cloud infrastructure.

• Architect and oversee AWS cloud infrastructure for scalable computation, data processing, and system telemetry.

• Integrate on-premises and cloud data workflows into a seamless and dependable data architecture.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for software delivery and validation across both simulation and real-world testing environments.

• Implement and manage infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and CloudFormation.

• Create internal services and automation tools for data ingestion, processing, and observability.

• Establish and uphold best practices for data reliability, pipeline observability, and system security.

• Lead root-cause analysis for issues related to data infrastructure and pipelines, designing long-term resilience enhancements.

• Collaborate with autonomy and systems engineers to develop scalable data interfaces and cloud deployment strategies.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 7 years of experience in building cloud infrastructure and data systems for large-scale distributed systems.

• Strong expertise in Python for developing data pipelines and automation.

• Practical experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, and gRPC for scalable, high-throughput data systems.

• In-depth knowledge of AWS cloud services, including compute, storage, and data processing.

• Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and CircleCI.

• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.

• Experience in automating deployments using Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Familiarity with Git-based workflows, code reviews, and collaborative software development.
