Staff Software Engineer I – AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and architect AI agent systems utilizing both single-agent and multi-agent frameworks.

• Implement contemporary communication protocols such as Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent (A2A).

• Master the information lifecycle for AI, encompassing strategies like chunking and embeddings, as well as implementing techniques such as RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), reranking, and query transformation.

• Manage the intricacies of multi-model environments by evaluating and selecting optimal providers based on trade-offs related to latency, context, and cost. Standardize the use of abstraction frameworks to prevent vendor lock-in.

• Function as a technical mediator in establishing AI strategies across the product portfolio.

• Ensure architectural consistency across various initiatives, identifying opportunities for componentization and reuse.

• Act as a decision-maker in architectural challenges, fostering an AI Engineering culture.

• Link AI technical capabilities to the genuine challenges faced by business areas. Establish LLMOps pipelines that incorporate:

• Rapid experimentation cycles (A/B testing of prompts/models).

• Feedback systems (human-in-the-loop).

• Monitoring of business metrics affected by AI.

• Systematic evaluation (Evals) through the creation of test datasets and frameworks.

• Capacity to engage in complex tasks, ensuring reliability and quality in deliveries while contributing to technical planning and risk assessment.

• Ability to influence and mentor team members, improving delivery effectiveness and mediating conflicts.

• Initiative to spearhead process enhancements focused on efficiency, diagnosing performance using relevant metrics (e.g., latency, bugs) and developing indicators for technological and business growth.
