Staff Software Engineer, Healthcare AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Design and scale distributed systems that support AI applications in healthcare.

• Enhance and innovate agent orchestration platforms and workflows driven by AI.

• Create secure healthcare data layers along with enterprise-level integrations.

• Develop systems that utilize LLMs, reinforcement learning, and agent-based architectures.

• Lead architectural decisions and technical strategies.

• Enhance scalability, reliability, performance, and operational excellence.

• Guide engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.

• Work closely with founders and a small, high-performing engineering team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in building complex, production-grade software systems.

• Strong proficiency in Python and backend system architecture design.

• Demonstrated experience in designing scalable distributed systems.

• Proven ability to take ownership of technical decisions and ensure system reliability at scale.

• Capability to convert ambiguous requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Strong software engineering skills and systems-thinking abilities.

• Experience in startup, scale-up, or high-growth environments.
