Staff Software Engineer, Healthcare AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Design and scale distributed systems that support healthcare AI applications

• Enhance and optimize agent orchestration platforms and AI-driven workflows

• Create secure healthcare data layers and enterprise-level integrations

• Develop systems utilizing LLMs, reinforcement learning, and agent-based architectures

• Lead architectural decisions and technical strategy

• Enhance scalability, reliability, performance, and operational excellence

• Guide engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing

• Work closely with founders and a small, high-performing engineering team

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in building complex production-grade software systems

• Strong proficiency in Python and backend system design

• Demonstrated experience in designing scalable distributed architectures

• Experience in making technical decisions and ensuring system reliability at scale

• Capability to turn ambiguous requirements into scalable technical solutions

• Strong software engineering skills and systems-thinking abilities

• Experience in startup, scale-up, or high-growth environments

• Exceptional communication and leadership skills
