Staff Software Engineer – Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee technical projects related to cloud architecture, ensuring that they are scalable, resilient, and operationally efficient.

• Act as a technical advisor in infrastructure and distributed systems, shaping engineering decisions within the team.

• Design and enhance architectures on AWS, focusing on high availability, security, and cost efficiency.

• Establish and implement observability practices (monitoring, logging, tracing) to guarantee system visibility and reliability.

• Engage in the development and enhancement of CI/CD pipelines and automation of infrastructure.

• Recognize risks and bottlenecks in distributed systems, taking proactive measures to maintain stability.

• Collaborate with development teams to create scalable and resilient solutions.

• Spearhead significant technical initiatives, taking charge of defining and executing solutions.

• Foster the team's development through mentoring, conducting code reviews, and sharing best practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a Software Engineer in medium- to high-complexity environments.

• Familiarity with the architecture and operation of distributed systems within cloud environments.

• Practical experience with AWS (Lambda, SQS, SNS, RDS, S3, or similar services).

• Knowledge of DevOps/SRE practices, including CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure automation.

• Experience with monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting production systems.

• Background in integrations and process automation.

• Capability to serve as a technical reference within the team, influencing decisions and directing solutions.

• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).

• Experience with high availability and disaster recovery strategies.

• Understanding of cost optimization strategies in cloud environments.

• Knowledge of event-driven architectures.

• Experience with GenAI applied to infrastructure or automation.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
