Staff Software Engineer, Backend – Platform

• Enhance Hex's execution architecture.

• Lead initiatives in parallel execution strategies and caching techniques.

• Analyze complex systems to identify and resolve performance issues.

• Collaborate with engineering teams and product management.

• Create and evaluate technical proposals.

• Suggest and outline long-term design plans.

• Over 10 years of experience in backend engineering.

• Strong emphasis on computation, performance, database/storage optimization, and systems architecture.

• Proficient in parallel execution strategies and caching methods.

• Knowledgeable about storage, database performance, algorithms, and data structures.

• Excellent systems thinker.

• Proven experience in addressing large-scale systems design challenges.

• Capable of articulating technical solutions and planning designs.

• Effective communicator; adept at leading technical initiatives and collaborating with remote teams.

• Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript is essential; experience with both is advantageous.
