This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

• Design and implement scalable backend services using PHP/Symfony.

• Develop dependable APIs, workers, batch jobs, integrations, and internal tools.

• Improve system performance, latency, throughput, and resource efficiency.

• Make informed architectural choices regarding data flow, background processing, queues, caching, and service boundaries.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.

• Troubleshoot complex production issues across application code, databases, queues, logs, and external services.

• Utilize AI tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar to accelerate development, testing, debugging, and refactoring.

• Critically assess AI-generated code for accuracy, performance, security, and maintainability.

• Work collaboratively with QA and other engineers to ensure the delivery of reliable systems.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Extensive experience in PHP.

• Proficient in Symfony.

• Strong knowledge and skills in database management.

• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub, GitHub Actions, Management of Multiple Environments, Git).

• Solid understanding of software architecture and system design.

• Experience in developing low-latency, efficient backend systems.

• Strong understanding of databases, query optimization, caching, queues, and background processing.

• Experience with API design and third-party integrations.

• Excellent debugging and performance profiling skills.

• Experience with automated testing.

• Proficient in using AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar.
