This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
• Define the technical vision and architecture for key areas of the platform, guiding the entire engineering team along the way.
• Take full ownership of our most challenging issues from start to finish: tackling complex, cross-functional, and high-impact work where the optimal solution is not immediately clear.
• Make critical decisions regarding build/buy strategies and architectural approaches that will influence the platform for years to come, documenting your rationale so others can build upon it.
• Implement state-of-the-art language models within enterprise customer workflows, where dependability and safety are crucial.
• Expand the team. Elevate the engineering standards through design reviews, technical mentorship, and by setting a high bar through your example.
• Proactively identify the technical initiatives we should pursue instead of waiting for them to be assigned.
• Ensure our focus on reliability, performance, and scalability as we expand across various channels and brands.
• Over 7 years of experience in software engineering, demonstrating a history of technical leadership across diverse teams or systems. Note that years of experience are a baseline, not a definitive measure.
• Extensive full-stack expertise in our primary technology stack: Node.js, React, TypeScript, and Express.
• Strong experience with AWS in a production environment (Fargate, Lambda, EC2, SQS) as well as with PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Proficient in microservices and distributed systems, with a clear understanding of scenarios where they may not be the best choice.
• Comfortable managing CI/CD and infrastructure with a genuine DevOps mindset (using tools like CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or equivalents).
• Product-oriented mindset. You prioritize customer outcomes and business impact over merely closing tickets.
• Proven experience in deploying LLM-powered features to production is essential; you understand the challenges that arise when models interact with real users at scale.
• You possess a direct, low-ego, high-ownership attitude. You prioritize fixing issues before explaining them, and you engage in honest feedback exchanges without hesitation.
• Genuine ownership. You will tackle problems, not just tasks, with the freedom to solve them in your own way and the confidence to do so without constant managerial oversight.
