Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Design and develop new features and products within the Elixir codebase that powers our web applications and API.

• Collaborate closely with product management to plan and define the scope of new projects and initiatives.

• Present creative solutions to senior leadership, ensuring alignment of engineering initiatives with company objectives.

• Lead and design technical solutions for highly complex abstract projects, focusing on scalability, performance, and maintainability.

• Produce high-quality, thoroughly tested code.

• Engage in code reviews.

• Serve as a key contributor to the team's success by providing mentorship and cultivating a culture of excellence.

• Proactively identify and resolve technical obstacles.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in software engineering.

• Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining production services at scale, with a strong understanding of how to create reliable systems.

• Ability to write high-quality, dependable code and take ownership of the systems you develop.

• Experience in developing solutions for ambiguous challenges.

• Enthusiasm for the projects we are creating at River.

• Strong grasp of web security fundamentals.

• A passion for mentoring and uplifting fellow team members.
