Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement the product.

• Take ownership of product surfaces from beginning to end—frontend, backend, data, integrations—addressing any challenges that arise.

• Design and construct the application layer that integrates Lilly’s AI models into dependable and cohesive workflows for biotech clientele.

• Transform a collection of point solutions into a unified product experience.

• Establish high engineering standards from the ground up—code review, testing, release process, and on-call responsibilities.

• Provide mentorship to fellow engineers as the team expands.

• Manage enterprise infrastructure, security, and compliance requirements while ensuring uninterrupted development progress.

• Represent the engineering team in discussions with external biotech partners when necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering, with a proven record of delivering SaaS products that are actively used by customers.

• Proven experience working as a senior or staff individual contributor in a small team setting—not solely as a senior contributor within a larger organization.

• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
