This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Take long-term responsibility for a crucial domain within the clearing house, which includes customer onboarding workflows, entitlement management, or data validation pipelines.
• Spearhead the design and implementation of backend systems using Go on GCP, ensuring they are production-ready: thoroughly tested, observable, and maintainable.
• Oversee the creation of data pipelines that process unstructured vulnerability reports, eliminate duplicate findings, and generate clean, structured outputs.
• Establish and exemplify engineering best practices for the team, including code review standards, testing protocols, and incident response strategies.
• Collaborate closely with the principal engineer and manager on technical planning, architectural alignment, and roadmap prioritization.
• Work together with the libraries team to define interface contracts and establish data quality requirements.
• A minimum of 7 years of backend engineering experience, demonstrating a solid history of managing large, complex systems in a production environment.
• Proficient in Go engineering, with experience in GCP and Terraform.
• Proven experience in building systems that process and validate data from diverse, unstructured sources, combined with an analytical and research-driven approach.
• Successfully transitioned a business problem from prototype or MVP to a dependable, scalable production service.
• Experience in designing systems with various customer entitlement levels, access controls, and workflow routing mechanisms.
• Familiarity with observability tools, ensuring that features are not just shipped but are also healthy in production.
• A background in security, supply chain, or infrastructure domains is advantageous but not mandatory.
