Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Serve as a technical expert in the architecture of cloud-native distributed systems and microservices.

• Engage in the design, development, and advancement of high-availability, high-scale platforms dedicated to real-time financial transaction processing.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to promote best practices, ensure architectural consistency, and elevate the technical capabilities of the team.

• Clearly document architectural decisions, detailing trade-offs, costs, and their business implications.

• Develop and enhance infrastructure as code (IaC), guaranteeing reproducible, secure, and scalable environments.

• Work alongside product and business teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.

• Foster a culture of observability, security, and production performance.

• Embrace and promote AI-assisted development practices to boost team velocity and enhance delivery quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems in the cloud, preferably on AWS.

• Proficiency in at least one modern backend programming language (Go, Java, Kotlin, Node.js, or similar) and an openness to work with various languages and paradigms.

• Experience with infrastructure as code tools (such as Terraform or equivalent).

• Expertise in modern engineering practices including CI/CD, observability, testing, DDD, and related methodologies.

• Ability to design systems with strong fundamentals and communicate decisions effectively to diverse audiences.

• Commitment to continuous learning, particularly a readiness to explore AI and new technologies as part of the development process.
