Staff Software Engineer, AI – Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop AI solutions that enable studio operators to automate their workflows, allowing them to concentrate on their core business activities.

• Create agentic loops that enhance the product, codebase, internal systems, and delivery capabilities.

• Position the organization to maximize benefits from advancing AI models.

• Streamline infrastructure and operations to expedite the efforts of both human and agent engineers.

• Enhance operational rigor and automated safety mechanisms, including production detection, alerting, and incident response.

• Collaborate with TypeScript, Node, NestJS, React, and Postgres to deliver features and improvements on a daily basis.

• Guide and mentor mid-level and junior engineers.

• Collaborate with engineering leadership on technical direction and team-wide methodologies.

• Deliver customer-facing AI capabilities and iterate based on feedback from studios.

• Contribute as a dedicated individual contributor without pursuing a management path.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering in most cases.

• Full-stack contributions across various layers of the technology stack.

• Profound expertise in at least one specialization, with a willingness to work across different layers.

• Proficiency and comfort with JavaScript and TypeScript.

• Regular daily use of AI tools beyond just coding assistants.

• Experience in developing agentic workflows, evaluations, and automation processes.

• Influence on engineering practices that extend beyond a single team, within an organization of approximately 20 or more engineers.

• Proven track record of successfully leading migrations.

• Experience in designing for reliability, including observability, alerting, and incident response mechanisms.

• History of establishing technical direction, creating adopted patterns, performing code reviews, pairing, and providing mentorship.

• Strong product judgment with the ability to pragmatically define ambiguous customer challenges.

• Comfort in operating with a high degree of autonomy and minimal processes.

• Authorization to work in the United States.
