This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +2 more countries.
• Establish the technical direction for Coder’s agent harness, integrations, and workflows.
• Design and develop production systems in Go, while also engaging with React and TypeScript as necessary.
• Advance agent execution, tool utilization, context management, streaming, and long-running workflows.
• Enhance the provider-agnostic architecture as models and functionalities evolve.
• Oversee intricate projects from initial uncertainty to production deployment.
• Elevate engineering standards through design evaluations, code assessments, and technical guidance.
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to create clear and effective agent experiences.
• Enhance the reliability, performance, and operability of agentic systems.
• Influence the systems that drive Coder’s agentic development experience.
• Work across the agent harness, integrations, and workflows that connect agents with real development environments.
• Assist in determining the evolution of Coder’s agentic architecture, investment areas, and maintaining reliability.
• Extensive experience in building and managing production software systems.
• Proficient hands-on experience with Go.
• Familiarity with React and TypeScript.
• Practical experience in developing systems around LLMs and agentic workflows.
• Knowledge of model APIs, tool invocation, context management, or agent loops.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems.
• Basic knowledge of AWS.
• Proven ability to set technical direction without formal authority.
• Strong architectural insight and comfort navigating through uncertainty.
• Experience in building coding agents, developer tools, or cloud development environments (preferred).
• Familiarity with agent tools or multi-agent systems (preferred).
• Experience in creating abstractions across various model providers (preferred).
• Extensive experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Linux (preferred).
• Contributions to open-source projects or direct customer engagement experience (preferred).
