Senior Full Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create and enhance user-facing experiences across search functionality, navigation, category pages, filters, and recommendations.

• Design and sustain frontend applications with a primary emphasis on performance, scalability, and user-friendliness.

• Assist in the development of backend services, APIs, and event-driven systems as necessary.

• Influence technical decisions regarding architecture, tools, and whether to build or buy solutions.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to define and implement effective solutions.

• Assume full ownership from concept to production, ensuring quality, performance, and operational stability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Multiple years of experience in developing and deploying complex web applications.

• Strong frontend proficiency with contemporary TypeScript-based frameworks.

• Comprehensive full-stack engineering capabilities and a readiness to engage in both frontend and backend tasks.

• Familiarity with server-side rendering and a focus on performance-driven web development.

• Good grasp of system design, APIs, databases, and cloud-based architectures.

• A product-oriented mindset with the ability to balance technical excellence and business impact.

• Capability to ensure observability in production, including metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting.

• Experience with backend technologies like Kotlin/Spring Boot, event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka), and cloud platforms (AWS), or a strong ability to learn quickly.

• High level of accountability, self-motivation, and comfort in working within an autonomous team environment.

• Excellent communication skills in both German and English.

• Experience with microfrontend architectures is a plus.

• Familiarity with Kotlin, Spring Boot, Kafka, PostgreSQL, or DynamoDB is advantageous.

• Experience with AWS and infrastructure as code is a bonus.

• Background in e-commerce or product discovery settings is preferred.

• Experience using AI tools pragmatically to enhance development workflows, productivity, and code quality is beneficial.

• Frontend technologies: Preact, Vite, SSR, TypeScript, PostCSS, microfrontends.

• Backend technologies: Kotlin, Spring Boot, Kafka, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB.

• Infrastructure tools: AWS, Pulumi, GitLab CI/CD.

• Tooling: Datadog, Algolia, Unleash, Vitest, Playwright.
