Staff Software Development Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Rhode Island.

📋 Description

• Design and create cloud-scalable services within a containerized environment, utilizing CI/CD practices.

• Demonstrate proficiency in professional software engineering best practices throughout the complete software development life cycle.

• Collaborate to address complex challenges related to data, features, services, and platforms.

• Work alongside business and product management teams to identify and prioritize potential opportunities.

• Implement Circuit Breakers and Service Discovery patterns within Microservices.

• Collaborate with business users, project managers, and fellow engineers to develop elegant solutions.

• Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements for existing systems and platforms.

• Assist in conducting risk assessments, technical audits, and mitigation activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of software development experience in enterprise, web, or cloud applications.

• At least 5 years of experience with one or more of the following programming languages/tools: Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Reactive programming, Caching Strategies, Kubernetes, or Kafka.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience with cloud computing technologies such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar public cloud environments.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (high school diploma plus 4 years of relevant experience).
