This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.
• Taking ownership of the daily execution of assigned tasks, which includes clarifying any ambiguities at the feature level, efficiently managing tasks, supporting releases, and confirming outcomes in production.
• Contributing to the team's delivery by providing realistic estimates of effort, identifying risks or blockers early, clearly communicating progress, and assisting the team in delivering work consistently.
• Enhancing team quality by participating in testing, code reviews, adhering to safe change practices, and maintaining a strong focus on correctness, maintainability, security, and performance.
• Leveraging modern tools, automation, and AI-assisted development in a practical and controlled manner to enhance delivery efficiency, feedback loops, and code quality while remaining accountable for the results.
• Mentoring less experienced engineers through constructive collaboration, providing review feedback, and maintaining strong daily engineering practices.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience working on IT projects through various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Recent experience in C# .NET with at least 2 years of development in .NET.
• Proficiency in web front-end technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, CSS, React, or ASP.NET Razor.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, SOLID principles, and object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with software configuration management tools, particularly Git.
• Knowledge of service-oriented frameworks.
• Capability to implement features, create unit tests, and resolve complex bugs.
• Exceptional communication skills, with a strong emphasis on fostering cohesive, collaborative, and productive teams.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and conceptual thinking skills.
• Experience with public cloud platforms (Azure) is a plus.
