Senior Software Engineer, Monitor Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will join a team of skilled developers who are responsible for constructing the core distributed systems that support the Sysdig platform at scale.

• Collaborate with team members in product and design to establish feature specifications and timelines.

• Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to any urgent issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced coding abilities, with over 5 years of experience in Java or Golang Backend, including RESTful API design and microservice-oriented architectures.

• Practical experience in developing horizontally scalable components and event-driven systems utilizing messaging and streaming platforms such as Redis, Kafka, NATS, Apache Flink, or similar technologies.

• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, including unit testing and integration testing.

• Experience with observability topics (metrics, logging, tracing) and relevant tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, Elastic Stack, or similar) is appreciated.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
