Staff Site Reliability Engineer, Core AI Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the reliability, monitoring, and incident response lifecycle for AI infrastructure services, which includes providing on-call support for AWS deployment pipelines, conducting root cause analyses, and facilitating blameless retrospectives.

• Create automation and tools to enhance operational IT workflows, reduce manual tasks, and boost deployment speed across CI/CD frameworks and Kubernetes environments.

• Collaborate with the Coinbase Infrastructure team to expand CI/CD frameworks that support IT services and enterprise network platforms, as well as work alongside Security and Compliance to incorporate surveillance tools into deployment pipelines.

• Enhance observability and documentation standards throughout IT engineering by defining key metrics, implementing monitoring solutions, and upholding technical documentation that exemplifies excellence.

• Design full-stack applications that support internal AI products and infrastructure using Go or Python.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in automating and supporting cloud infrastructure (AWS) and network environments, with practical experience in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Salt.

• Demonstrated expertise in deploying, managing, and troubleshooting containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes in production settings.

• Proficient in at least one scripting or programming language (Python, Bash, Ruby, or Go) and familiar with version control workflows utilizing Git-based CI/CD pipelines.

• Proven history of leading incident responses in environments with stringent SLAs, including conducting root cause analyses, facilitating blameless retrospectives, and achieving measurable reliability enhancements.

• Utilizes generative AI in a responsible manner, ensuring human oversight to produce business-ready outputs and achieve measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
